Tell Your Own Truth FIRST! Matthew 5:29-30

Matthew 5:29-30

Matthew 5:29-30 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut if off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

BlogFam, There are times when we must choose to have difficult conversations or make really tough decisions in order for us to keep moving forward. The truth is this: As you go and grow in the things of the Spirit and as you become more in tune with the divine answers to the questions - who, what, when, where, why, and how - about the seasons of your own life, you realize that for the sake of the Kingdom, you must let some things and people go. But you already knew this. You already are familiar with the necessity to lay aside the weights of certain people, places, or things in order for you to have your mountaintop experience. You are aware that BY FAITH, you must let IT or THEM go so that you can be all that God has called you to be.

And for most of us, when the going gets rough and we are pushed into a corner of fear versus faith, I pray that we would lean toward the side of faith so that we can truly LET GO and LET GOD!

Yet, on today, I do recognize that some of us will also avoid those difficult conversations and delay making those really tough decisions in order to move forward because at the very basic level, we have not done the same with ourselves. And I know you may be thinking: Are you asking me to talk to myself? Should I be talking to myself? And my answer to you is YES! YES!

One of the most difficult conversations you will ever have are the conversations when you look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you need to get yourself together! One of the toughest decisions you will ever have to make is the decision to get your own self together because you know exactly what it would really mean for you to do so and how long it might take and what you might lose.

Even the Good Lord knew that when it comes to SELF-EVALUATION, and I mean really HONEST self-evaluation, we might more readily choose to cut off the external factors that we see as hindrances - those people, places, and things outside of ourselves - BEFORE we deal with the common denominator in each of those situations...our own selves. And so Jesus pushes us to SELF-EXAMINATION...

Matthew 5:29-30 And if YOUR right eye offend YOU, pluck it out, and cast it from YOU: for it is profitable for YOU that one of YOUR members should perish, and not that YOUR whole body should be cast into hell. And if YOUR right hand offend YOU, cut if off, and cast it from YOU: for it is profitable for YOU that one of YOUR members should perish, and not that YOUR whole body should be cast into hell.

Jesus says, LOOK IN THE MIRROR! What do YOU see about YOU that would be offensive to the work of God''s Kingdom and a hindrance to God's purpose for YOUR own life? Jesus says, LOOK IN THE MIRROR! TELL YOUR OWN TRUTH! And RESPOND ACCORDINGLY!

BlogFam, Are YOU Willing to Tell Your Own Truth? Can you handle your own truth? Will you have the difficult conversations with yourself and make the really tough decisions about yourself so that YOU can move forward?

Perhaps, before we are so quick to cut off the people, places, and things that we might see as blockers to our destiny, we might FIRST need to LOOK IN THE MIRROR to see what we see about ourselves that might need to be cut off or cut out so that we can begin to have a clearer perspective about people, places, and things that may or may not need to be cut off AFTER we have told ourselves the truth about ourselves, with the help of the Lord.

BlogFam, TELL YOUR OWN TRUTH FIRST for it is profitable for YOU!!!
