**Blog Post written Day After Halloween**
BlogFam, it is actually the day after Halloween and the truth is that Halloween is NOT the only day of the year that people wear masks!  People wear masks every day, in every situation, around everybody. Halloween is just the only day of the year where we celebrate hiding our real identity.  It is the one day of the year when it is OK to wear your mask in public and nobody will think twice about why you are wearing one.  Actually it might be the one day of the year some of us feel the most liberated becausewe’ve been wearing masks all along anyway so to have one day when your mask is the highlight of your actual life experience is a relief.
My friends, YES, we are still talking about vision and everything will connect but the truth of the matter is that we can only go as far as our masks will allow.  When you wear masks, you do so in order to hide who you really are.  You are hiding because you are intimidated or scared or hurt or for many other reasons that make you feel like you cannot be yourself.  Your mask provides a safety barrier, a clear boundary, a long handled spoon between you and your dreams, your platonic and romantic relationships, and your past/present/and future.  There is something that you are hiding from or that you are hiding that is hindering you from living your life as the fearfully and wonderfully made man or woman you were created to be.  YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR so why are you still wearing that mask?
Now, in order for you to truly live out God’s vision for YOUR life, you have got to take the mask off!  Period. You are wasting time and energy trying to be someone you are not and pretending that everything is OK in every area of your life.  And in order to do so, you must FIRST take your mask off in the presence of God. Now, PLEASE BE CLEAR that God knows what is behind the mask already.  You CANNOT hide from God.  God has not missed one detail, great or small, regarding your life.  In fact, the Lord God has been waiting for you to surrender your mask to Him so that we can all see God’s Glory shine through you. We need to see you and know you as the beautiful creation our God has made YOU to be but when you wear your mask, you keep us out, kick us out and cut us out of experiencing the greatness inside of YOU.
Now, BlogFam, I totally understand why some of you wear masks.  Sometimes it just seems so much easier to hide, to suppress who you really are, to deny your gifts and talents especially when you have been betrayed or abused in some way that has scarred you or scared you.  I understand but that is not where you need to live the rest of your life!  Take the Mask Off!!!
How in the world do you really expect to live outGod’s Vision for your life if you are hiding behind a mask?  How do you really expect others to trust you or support you when you are halfhearted in your own commitment to bring yourself into the relationship because of your mask?  How do you really expect to experience the exceeding abundantly above anything you can ask, think, or imagine according to the power of God that is able to work in and through you if you live in hiding behind that mask?
Is there something I am missing?
I think NOT.
Take the mask off!
Take your mask off in the presence of God and then take your mask off as you stand to face yourself in the mirror.  God loves you.  There is no doubt about that.  But when you wear a mask, there is a part of you that is denying the love you have for yourself.  Before you can love your neighbor AS you love yourself, you have got to love yourself. And if you are wearing a mask to hide yourself from yourself, then we already know that the love you think you are sharing with your neighbor is lacking.  BlogFam, God’s Vision for your life demands that you be true to God and true to yourself and wearing a mask is a clear indication that you are not fully connected to God’s Vision for your life and that there is a lie that you want to convey because of a truth that you are unwilling to face.  BlogFam, take the mask off!
I know it has been a while since you felt FREE to just be yourself but I am telling you that the Lord is waiting and there is space in this world for you to DO YOU! And when you free yourself from the bondage of that mask, there will be some adjusting that needs to happen because it will be different for you and for those around you, but KEEP IT OFF and by faith, you will begin to see God’sVision for your life unfold!
God Loves You and I Do Too!
