The World is GROANING because of YOU, God! Romans 8:22-25 We
know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth
right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves,
who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for
our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For
in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes
for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do
not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Click Logo to LISTEN NOW!!! Greetings! BlogFam, When it is time to move on, we must rely on
the enduring hope that an even greater move is to come and the move in this
present day is preparing us for that greater move that we will see one day. In other words, as one of my best friends
would say to an excited preacher rushing to a close, HOLD YOUR HOPE! The best, YOUR best, God’s best is yet to
come. Thus far, we have discussed the consequences of waiting
to move and the frustration that comes as a result of the wait; and on today,
the scripture has led us to the place of recognizing our intense desire for
something more, something greater, something beyond ourselves, something that
has not yet come to fruition. This
desire is so intense, so desperately yearned for, that We
know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth
right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves,
who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for
our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. To groan is to utter a deep, mournful sound expressive
of pain or grief. To groan is to make a deep, inarticulate sound
expressive of derision, disapproval, desire, etc. To groan is to be overburdened or overloaded. To groan is to suffer greatly or lamentably. We know that the whole creation has been GROANING as in
the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not
only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, GROAN
inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our
bodies. This is a serious moment because creation is waiting
for us and we, who are led by the Spirit of God, are waiting on God. EVERYBODY is waiting and we have moved beyond
our initial awareness that a move is necessary.
We have moved beyond the state where we are frustrated that a move has
not yet taken place. We have moved into
a deep, mournful state. We are all
groaning because we are ALL suffering greatly.
AND creation groans because they are desperate to be quickened by the
Spirit of the Living God, desperately searching for a move that will transform
their lives and bring them into a loving relationship with the Living God. Yet, because of creation’s rejection of the
invitation to be saved from sin, creation stresses and strains as a woman in
labor whose contractions signify that it is time for something to move but
whose pushing is to no avail. AND at the
same time, those who are in a loving relationship with the Holy One, who
believe in the promise of eternal life and a heaven with no more crying, are
overburdened by the reality that that day has not yet come. Our hearts have been redeemed but our bodies
are still here. AND EVERYBODY is
groaning because we are all longing for a move that will radically transform
life as we know it in this present day. My sistas and brothas, HOLD YOUR HOPE! For in this hope,
the HOPE that our bodies will be redeemed, we were saved. In this hope, as we hear the groanings of
those who need salvation and as we face the realities of our own life’s
circumstances, we are sustained. In this
hope, which is beyond the satisfaction that anything on this earth could give,
we are settled. But hope that is seen is
no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? Creation hopes for a move of salvation and
we, who are saved, hope for the redemption of our bodies. Our hopes have not yet been met by the move
of God, the Spirit’s knock on the door of that sinner’s heart or the eternal rest
from one’s earthly labor. We groan and
we hope for what we do not have. But
if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Friends, When it is time to move on, we must rely on
the enduring hope that an even greater move is to come and the move in this
present day is preparing us for that greater move that we will see one
day. And until that day, we wait
patiently for it. We may be
frustrated. We may groan. We may disapprove. We may feel overburdened or overloaded. But until God moves in our hearts and in our
lives or in the lives of those around us, we must WAIT patiently on God. We must wait on God to move. And there is NO move like when God moves in
us, around us, through us, in spite of us. We must wait on God to move and our hope lies in the truth that God WILL
move. I do not know how or when but God
will move. THIS is our hope. Our hope is that GOD WILL MOVE! God will move in the hearts of sinners to
compel them to be in a loving relationship with Him and one day, God will move
those who are led by the Spirit into the land of eternal rest. God will redeem our bodies and the waiting,
the frustration, the groaning of this present day, will rush to an end. But until that day, HOLD YOUR HOPE, BlogFam,
and wait patiently for it. The best,
YOUR best, God’s best is yet to come… Delesslyn Twitter - @AudraSunshine; @SpiritedConcept Email - delesslyn@spiritedconcepts.net If you enjoyed reading this blog post, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE on the left to get email updates,SHARE it with three people, COMMENT below, and click here to GIVE a donation of $5.00 or your best gift to keep it going!
