YEAST INFECTIONS - Luke 12:1-3

Yeast Infections Click or Copy and Paste Link to LISTEN NOW!!! http://cinch.fm/spiritedconcept/479398. Luke 12:1-3 NIV Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. Greetings!!! BlogFam, I do acknowledge that the title of today's blog post may not have immediately conjured up very positive or pleasant thoughts in your mind. Actually, I cannot think of one person who would hear the phrase YEAST INFECTION and turn cartwheels or give their neighbor a high five! Nope! Not one! And i do not blame you. The idea of bacteria growing on the surface or underneath one's skin is actually pretty gross. So my attention to Jesus reference to the Pharisees hypocrisy as yeast is befitting! Now to all of my Bible scholar blog followers, YES, I know that the Lord is more than likely referring to the yeast used to make bread. I am very aware of this detail; however, when is the last time you thought about making bread? When Jesus uses illustrations, He superbly relates spiritual principles to the common vocabulary of His day. And because most of us buy our bread from our local grocer, reading this passage from a 21st century perspective and incorporating the term yeast infection to paint a picture of Jesus lesson does not seem to be that much of a stretch. Candidiasis is an infection caused by a group of yeast. There are more than 20 species of Candida, the most common being Candida albicans. These fungi live on all surfaces of our bodies. Under certain conditions, they can become so numerous they cause infections, particularly in warm and moist areas. Usually the skin effectively blocks yeast, but any breakdown or cuts in the skin may allow this organism to penetrate. Rarely, the yeast infection may spread throughout the body. In systemic candidal disease, up to 75% of people may die. Even common mouth and vaginal yeast infections can cause critical illness and can be more resistant to normal treatment. Yeast infections that return may be a sign of more serious diseases such as diabetes, leukemia, or AIDS. Yeast Infections are no joke! And equally as critical for us to consider on today are the yeast infections of the soul. The bacteria of sin that feasts and festers in the secret places that we work so hard to cover up. And instead of seeking the Lord for the healing balm that we need, we live like the Pharisees, we live as hypocrites - unbecoming of children of the Most High God . Luke 12:1-3 NIV Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: "Be on your guard against the YEAST INFECTIONS of the Pharisees OR PEOPLE YOU KNOW , which is hypocrisy. For some reason they choose to ignore the most obvious symptoms of their sinful condition and its growing in certain areas of their lives that are ripe and ready to host their multiplication. And while one might just be able to cover up the physical manifestation of bacteria growing on or underneath the skins surface, regarding spiritual bacteria, Jesus declares, as recorded by Luke, There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. Friends, it is time to acknowledge the infections of sin in our lives. It is time to confess our sins to the one who will forgive our sins and cut off the source of all bacteria at the root. We become hypocrites when we knowingly allow sin to feast and fester in our lives with no regard to our witness on behalf of Christ in the earth. When we do so, and serve as if we are not broken or condemn others as if we are not in need of Gods Grace and Mercy, the bacteria of sin will spread throughout the body.... the body of Christ, causing critical illness, disease, and even death. YEAST INFECTIONS ARE NO JOKE!!! AND NOW is the time for all of us to be examined by the Holy Spirit so that the Spirit may expose and extract whatever bacteria of sin is not of God. Sistas and brothas, get rid of your Yeast Infections and let us strive for holy perfection in God. And though you may not want to face or deal with the realities of your heart's condition, PLEASE know that when you surrender it all to Jesus, you can trust that you will indeed get the best treatment possible! THE DARK WILL COME TO THE LIGHT!

THE DARK WILL COME TO LIGHT! Click or Copy and Paste Link to LISTEN NOW! http://cinch.fm/spiritedconcept/477998 Greetings! BlogFam, we are at the beginning of a new series entitled, COVER UP! When I was a child, my mother used to give us a word of wisdom and warning all the time and I had no clue it was in the Bible when she shared it with us. She used to always say "What's done in the dark, will come out in the light! " She said it then and I remember it until this day. I not only remember it but I have seen and experienced its truth in my own life and have observed it in the lives of others. My mama's saying carries even greater weight because it reflects the words of Jesus in the Gospel of Luke. WOW! Mama was right on it! But I, l like so many of you hesitate or outright refuse to believe the truth when we first hear it . Or if you do believe it , you live as if it does not apply to you! Blog Fam, you know I like to keep it real in this space and during or time together and we will continue to do so. And the REAL TRUTH that we all must face is just what my mama said: "What's done in the dark, will come out in the light. " OR as Jesus said breaks it down in Luke: There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. Friends, it does not matter what or how much you think that you have gotten away with in the dark, behind closed doors, with the curtains pulled tight, on your private profile, with your closest friends, in the darkest alley, in deserted houses or stairwells, in empty elevators, behind password protected files or phones, JESUS and my mama said: There is NOTHING concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. Friends I pray that we will all repent to God for the many ways we have diminished our witness, dimmed our light, and disregarded God's word when we found ourselves in the dark. I pray that the Lord would forgive us for the kinds of secrets we carry with us, the skeletons in our closets that we pray will never come out, and the shame we have brought to ourselves, our families, our friends, our churches, and most of all to the Kingdom of God. Lord, forgive us all and we ask for the courage to LIVE RIGHT IN THE DARK so that You will be pleased and we do not have to keep trying to play Cover Up! PS... I am still blogging on the go... Cover Up Introduction

Cover Up Introduction Greetings!!! BlogFam, I have never written a blog this late. I have been traveling for the balance of the day and my flesh is weak but my spirit is strong. I have made a commitment to maintain the Salvation and Stilettos blog on a daily basis until further notice and so on tonight I find myself drawing upon the strength of the Holy Spirit to provide a daily spirited concept....even if it is late and may be abbreviated. On today we begin a new series entitled Cover Up! And as midst of our blog adventures I am so excited to see where we will be led for however long the Lord sees fit. So thank you so much for trusting the God in me to speak to all of us through our daily spirited concept. So let us begin... Cover Up! Luke 12:2-3 NIV There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. BlogFam, I do not believe that this series is for the faint at heart. I will tell you now that the Lord will expose you and the things concerning you, not necessarily publicly, but whether publicly or privately, you will find the grace of God. This is awesome!!!!!! There is no one who can cover and expose with the grace and wisdom our Lord will use. Thus I pray that you are open and that your soul will find delight in spending time with the Lord as we venture on our new journey. So thank you for your patience and let's talk about Cover Up! PS... I am still blogging on the go... More details in due season... Thanks for your patience!!! God loves You and I do Too!!! I Thank God I Can Do Whatever!

3:17 Thank God I Can Do Whatever! C lick or copy and paste link to listen now!! I have shared an audio update using #Cinch, check it out: http://t.co/2Jl2YmKQ #blog #Jesus Greetings!!! BlogFam,Greetings! I Thank God I Can Do Whatever! I can only imagine the thoughts that went through some of your minds when you read the title of today's blog post. Thank God I can do Whatever! The mere thought of being able to live a life free of restrictions and undefined limits is a pleasant thought to some of you. And if you are thinking that you would not take this title that far , well have you ever at least espoused the idea that this is your life and you can live it however you want to live it? If you have then you also were excited about our title for today. There is something very intriguing and exhilarating about being able to live your life however you want to live it. There is something special about thinking that you can dance to the beat of your own drum, fly by the seat of your own pants. Thus it is no surprise that your interest was peaked at the sight of the title of today's blogpost: Thank God I can do whatever! And now that i have your attention, let's reread our verse for today. Colossians 3:17 NIV And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Wow! Well blogfam, contrary to our expectations, there is one major criterion to our "whatever" that informs our thanksgiving. Yes we can thank God that we can do whatever as long as... "whatever" we do, whether in word or deed, is done in the name of the Lord Jesus! In other words, as long as whatever I do in my life and my lifestyle is done in the name of the Lord my thanksgiving will be a natural, appropriate and well balanced response of obedience. The parameters around my "whatever" do not dictate my giving thanks but the protection that those parameters provide give me an unquestionable single reason to praise the Lord! While there are some of you who thrive on the thrill of risking your life to do whatever you want to do, there are some of us who rejoice that the restrictions the Lord has set, to do all things in his name, provides divine clarity, distinctive direction, and predestined possibilities! Thank God i can do whatever! This is not a praise without regards to your personal choices to live your life anyway you choose. No! This is a praise that holds in the highest regard the will of God. This kind of praise rejoices that in the wisdom of the Almighty we can choose to do "whatever" or we can do whatever we do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. So what will it be? From what perspective will you thank God for whatever? Whatever choices will you now make in order to live a life of thanksgiving unto God? Will you choose to commit yourself to doing whatever you do in the name of the Lord Jesus? BlogFam, what will your whatever be? I thank God I Can Do Whatever!!! PS... I am still blogging on the go... 3:17 REAL TALK

3:17 REAL TALK CLICK or COPY & PASTE LINK TO LISTEN NOW!!! http://cinch.fm/spiritedconcept/475784 Greetings! BlogFam, Colossians 3:17 NIV And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus... OK. REAL TALK... So what does this phrase mean? What does it mean to do it ALL in the name of Jesus? What exactly does it mean to do ANYTHING in the name of the Lord Jesus? I am sure you have possibly said or heard this phrase so many times. But what does it really mean? I know the name of Jesus. I know who Jesus is as Lord. I know that there is no other name like Jesus. And I know I should not use Jesus name in vain. So how does one reverently do all things IN the name of the Lord Jesus? I believe that this is an important question for all of us to consider. For while we might be familiar with praying in the name of Jesus because that is what Jesus taught us explicitly to do for He is our advocate to the Heavenly Father. We can grasp that concept more readily because of the picture that is painted in our minds of Jesus standing at the right hand of the Heavenly throne pleading our case. We can understand this phrase, "IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS" in terms of prayer. But how does it relate to every other WORD or DEED in our lives? Besides, does anyone besides me think that this is alot to consider? Must the Lord Jesus be a consideration in everything...in ALL things...in WHATEVER we do? Well, my friends, we all probably know the answer to the last question... YES. We know that on some level we must consult heaven for direction and guidance and leadership but the truth is that we often might feel as though asking the Lord Jesus about every detail and decision in our lives might be a little too much. There are some choices we make that intentionally ignore heaven's sanction. There are some words we use that are not at all reflective of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. There are some deeds we participate in that fall outside of what it means to be holy. Yet my Friends, in this verse we are encouraged to do it all IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS. This is a tall order, a high standard, a seemingly insurmountable feat. But no exceptions are provided, no caveats are prescribed, and no contingencies are proffered. Ladies and gents, it just is what it is AND what it is will never change. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, giving thanks to God the Father through him. So how do we relate this admonition to every other WORD or DEED in our lives? What do we need to do or have or be or give in order for everything to be done IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS? Well, Im glad you want to know and Im glad we do not have to go very far to find the answer. The answer is just a few verses earlier in the same chapter of Colossians 3... Colossians 3:1-4 NIV Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. I like the way the MESSAGE BIBLE breaks this down... Colossians 3:1-4 MSG So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that's where the action is. See things from his perspective. Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life—even though invisible to spectators—is with Christ in God. He is your life. When Christ (your real life, remember) shows up again on this earth, you'll show up, too—the real you, the glorious you. Meanwhile, be content with obscurity, like Christ. Sistas and brothas, this is how we do it ALL in the name of the Lord Jesus!!! And as we are raised, set, hidden, act, pursue, look up, stay alert, and are content in and with Christ, then WHATEVER we do, whether in word or deed, it will be done IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS!!! Now that's REAL TALK!!! PS... I am still blogging on the go... More details in due season... Thanks for your patience!!! God loves You and I do Too!!!
