RUN and TELL THAT!!! Matthew 28:7-8

Matthew 28:7-8
Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
BlogFam, When is the last time you RAN – RUSHED – or RAPIDLY MOVED to tell someone about the goodness of the Lord? I would love to know the answer to that question.  Maybe I will post it on Facebook later.  I think it is a valid question especially to those of us who say we believe that the Lord is good and have also experienced the goodness of the Lord in our lives. As I peruse my homepage on Facebook or glance over my Twitter timeline, well, I have read many things that I just do not believe we would find inanybody’s testimony service!  Now, there are some people who do testify in their Facebook status and shout to the Lord in their Tweets but there are just as many folks cussin and fussin and complaining and threatening and gossiping and backbiting and as one of my mentees would say – “gettin’ out on folks.”

Friends, today’s challenge is for you to BE QUICK to speak about Jesus today and everyday!  After these women were told by the messenger of the Lord that Jesus is risen and He was not in the tomb, the messenger said -
Then go QUICKLY and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
With this instruction, this messenger again confirmed that Jesus had done just as He said He would, commissioned them to share this great news with others and expressed godly concern through them for those who had been scattered since the trial and the crucifixion. Friends, when we testify about the goodness of the Lord, we confirmGod’s word and promises for those who need to be encouraged while they wait for the Lord to bring their prayers and His promises to fruition in their lives.  Our testimonies confirm that God is still in control and that God is actively engaged in raising up the lives of our sisters and brothers in ways that we have not yet seen.  This is good news!
Secondly, it is just good to have something good to say and spreading the news of the Lord’s resurrection was a good thing to do.  People want and need to hear good news.  They may not tell you to your face so I will help you to know that people are tired of hearing about your battles, your burdens, your belittling commentary about other people – and even about yourself.  Do you have anything good to say about God, yourself, or your neighbor? Yes or No, do not pass GO if you cannot testify about one good thing!  I know you have it inside Pray on that!
Thirdly, we must testify because there are those who may be scattered and lost and confused and ashamed and our God can use your testimony to help them see that God cares and that God has not forgotten them.  This is significant because the messenger specifically told them to tell the disciples of this good news.  The disciples had not stayed by the side of their master in His darkest hour and the Lord knew that they needed a word from him to comfort them, to remind them that he was concerned about them in spite of their having missed the mark as followers of Christ.  There are so many who need to be caressed by God through the words of scripture, prayer, praise, worship, knowledge, wisdom, prophecy, and testimony that God has placed in you.
So the women HURRIED away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy,
and RAN to tell his disciples.
BlogFam, these women did not linger in their tears, lie down with their fears, or lolly gag with their posteriors in neutral gear.  NO! They HURRIED away from that place of death and though they were afraid, apprehensive, and anxious, they were filled with JOY because they had heard some good news and they had some good news to tell!!! So they HURRIED and they RAN to tell the disciples that Jesus is risen!  He is not there! We went to seethe place where He laid and that place is empty!  Those women had some good news to RUN and to TELL and they did just that!
My sistas and brothas, I pray that on today you would RUN – RUSH and RAPIDLY MOVE to share some GOOD news!!!  Do not delay!  Time is of the essence and somebody needs to hear the good news that the Lord is ALIVE and ACTIVELY engaged in your life!  RUN and TELL that God is Love!  RUN and TELL that God is Forgiving!  RUN and TELL that God will never leave or forsake any of us!  RUN and TELL God is real and God really does care! YOUR testimony will confirm God’s promises in somebody else’s life!  Our God has commissioned YOU to share YOUR testimony!  For by YOUR testimony, God is able to show concern for others as they hear about God’s love for you.  We can run and tell a whole lot of things, but on today I hope you would RUN and TELL that!
