![]() John 17:1-5 “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. “ Click Logo to LISTEN NOW! Greetings! BlogFam, the hour has come. There is something very powerful about knowing that the hour has come especially when your testimony is that you have brought God glory on earth by finishing the work that our God has given you to do in this passing hour. It is not uncommon for fellow sistas and brothas in Christ to expect promotion by virtue of their ability, their experience, their reputation, or their self-absorbed ideas of entitlement without having finished the divine assignment of the current hour. And thus, when the next hour comes – the hour of transition towards elevation, raises, advancement, and promotion – the witness of an incomplete assignment is the word of the hour. There are far too many of us desiring more but lacking the discipline to complete the tasks of the present hour. So, when THE hour has come for you to go to another level in any area of your life, you just might find yourself being passed over – not because of the enemy or someone’s jealousy or a mix up in identity – but because the task assigned in the last hour was not complete. So, the next hour comes but because you did not spend the last hour doing what you were assigned to do, you prolong the reward that you so eagerly desire and that you thought would come in the hour that has now come. BlogFam, the hour has come. When Jesus prays this prayer of glorification and intercession in John 17, He knows that His hour has come to be raised from death to life. Jesus has the witness of having completed the assignment of the last hour and therefore He is prepared to experience the glory of God in the hour that has come. He has come so that God might be known through Him in the earth. His ministry focus has been to bring God glory through His teaching, preaching, healing, loving, caring, feeding, helping, eating, chastising, directing, and praying. Jesus has brought God glory in the earth by finishing the work that God had given Him to do. Therefore, his prayer is divinely accurate and appropriate for the hour at hand: And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. And, like Jesus, we must do the work of the Kingdom of God that will fulfill our particular assignment in this present hour. BlogFam, the hour has come. What is your assignment in this hour? What is your focus in ministry? What steps do you need to take in order to complete the tasks you have been assigned by heaven? How is the Kingdom of God being blessed by your actions on your assignment? When is the last time you reviewed your assignment? Is it time for you to make any adjustments so that you ensure that your assignment is completed in this hour? Has any part of your assignment been ignored or left incomplete? BlogFam, the hour has come. And it is NOW time for you to focus on your divine assignment in this present hour. You do not know when the transition will come to propel you into your next hour so do not hold yourself back by neglecting the work of this hour. Friends, seek the Lord our God for clarity on your assignment and then obediently make every effort to fulfill that which heaven has ordained for you to do. This is how you bring glory to God in your life – by simply finishing the work that God has given you to do. BlogFam, the hour has come. Therefore, today, I pray that you would not avoid the work of this present hour. I pray thatwhen your hour to be granted your promotion comes, your assigned tasks of the last hour are complete. I pray that you would follow our Lord’s example and know that your efforts to glorify God in the earth are not in vain. I pray that your promotion comes without delay and if you are already in the hour of promotion, then I pray that you would celebrate this new chapter and get ready for the next assignment.
