![]() Greetings! BlogFam, This is a quick post that was inspired by a compliment I received earlier today. The compliment came from a young lady who has been reading my blog. She text me to say, “I love how bold and courageous you are with your writing.” That put a smile on my face and I stopped what I was doing and started writing. This is what I wrote… I feel the same way about my writing as a chef [or your family cook] feels when others partake and enjoy their finished product. I feel like a chef who likes to hear how people talk about the food they have prepared and has been consumed to provide nutrition to the body, yet pleasurable to the pallet of those who eat what began as random ingredients. I get JOY when people read what I write and find nourishment for their souls. I am NOT a cook. I mean, I can purchase ingredients and I can follow a recipe, but I do NOT get excited about the process. At family gatherings, I am your salad, punch, and clean up lady. I just do NOT get that kind of joy in the kitchen. ![]() All I need is a pen and my journal, or my laptop, or if the urge hits and all I have is my cell, the Springpad App, and I get excited! And when I share my thoughts after they have been combined into sentences and paragraphs– hopefully following the basic rules of grammar - I look forward to hearing/reading the responses of how someone was blessed, challenged, encouraged, and found nourishment for their souls through the pleasurable experience of reading what I have written. So, to my future husband, PLEASE do not be alarmed or find yourself in despair or having second thoughts. We will not starve because I am praying that you love the stove-top just as much as I love my laptop. (LOL!)
