#MyVisionFast: THANK YOU GOD for Your Vision!

Greetings!

BlogFam,
Remember me?

LOL!

I know it has been way too long and we are one full week into a brand new year, so I will just say this... WELCOME BACK to me and to you!!!

I am writing today's blog as a reflection upon the first scriptures outlined in the 2017 #MyVisionFast [www.MyVisionFast.com].

Genesis 1:1 [MSG]

First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don’t see.

In my journal, the first thought that came to my mind was this:  THANK YOU GOD for seeing me!

I promise you that as soon as those six words flowed through the ink of my pen onto the lined pages of my red leather bound journal, I paused.  I paused to repeat to myself: THANK YOU GOD for seeing me!

THANK YOU GOD for seeing me!

We live at a time when we are bombarded by images.  We see so much around us.  We see fun, foolish, frightening, and even faithful images on our phones, televisions, laptops, and tablets.  We are compelled to "see" so much about people we love, people we may not love as much, places we enjoyed, places we dread, things that make us feel good, and things that do not sit well with us.  Our eyes are often drawn toward images that make us better and images that make us question. Sometimes we feel as though we cannot help what comes across the screens of our minds and of our devices.  We just take it all in.  We take in so much that we do not even realize how much we have seen.  We probably could not even attempt to actually recall and describe every person, place, or thing that our eyes have seen.  Our brains are amazing.  Our eyes are amazing.  Our Creator, who has given us the physical ability to see or enhanced our other senses so that we can "see" some version of the world is amazing.

But in spite of ALL that I might see in one day or one hour or one minute, nothing compares to what God sees or what God has seen since the beginning.  AND when I think about the unfathomable expanse of the vision of God, I am completely humbled that with ALL that God sees, God.  Sees.  Me.

GOD.
SEES.
ME.
THANK YOU GOD for seeing me!

There have been so many times when I wanted some human to see me, to hear me, to touch me, to get me.  And sometimes humans get it right and sometimes they get it wrong.  Sometimes humans have completely overlooked me and ignored me or disrespected me or did not even know that I existed.  BUT GOD..... in ALL of God's magnificence, God sees me and has seen me before you could see me, before I could see myself, before my mom and dad could see me, and before anyone on this planet even thought to try to look for me, GOD saw me and continues to see me.  And for that I am so grateful!

I am so grateful that God sees me and everything, everyone, every time, every place concerning me.  God sees my heart and my thoughts, my tears and my steps, my joys and my sorrows, my faults and my faith.  God sees it ALL.  God sees so much about me and so deeply inside of me and God LOVES me anyway.

God sees me.  For real.  And God still loves me.  For real.

And so on this morning, this first day of the 2017 My Vision Fast, I THANK YOU GOD for seeing me! I cannot go on to see what I need to see about God's vision for my life without acknowledging the ONE presence in my whole life that sees EVERYTHING and ME.

THANK YOU GOD for seeing me!
And THANK YOU GOD that with all you have seen, you still LOVE me!

THANK YOU GOD for seeing YOU.... and for loving YOU just the same!

To God Be the GLORY!

Blessings, Glory, and Sunshine!
Delesslyn
