Starting Over, Starting Fresh - Lamentations 3:21-26

STARTING OVER, STARTING FRESH
Lamentations 3:21-26 NIV




Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:   Because of the Lord ’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.   They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.   I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”   The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;   it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord .



Greetings!!!


Today is July 1, 2013.  Today is the first day of the last six months of this year.  Today is Monday.  Today is the day that we can all just start over, start fresh, starting NOW!


BlogFam, I like starting over.  I like the opportunities we are granted in life to just begin again.  I acknowledge that we do not always get those opportunities so when we do get the chance to start over, we must SEIZE THE DAY!  And I believe that TODAY just happens to be one of those kinds of days when you and I can just start over, start fresh.


We cannot waste this moment.  We must be decisive and intentional about how we will maximize this moment.  We must do our very best to live in this moment and to make it count.  BlogFam, this is YOUR moment to start over, to start fresh, so what will you do?


In my own life, I have made some personal commitments about how I want to live differently starting today.  I want to be even more intentional about certain areas of my own life and today is the day that I have made the decision to JUST DO IT!  I do not have to wait on anyone else but me and I do not have to follow anyone else lead but the Holy Spirit.  I am FREE to move forward and press on because what is to come is so much better than what has been!


BlogFam, Today is just that kind of day.


Now, I have to be honest with you.  I have felt this way before.  This is NOT the first day that I have decided to start over, start fresh.  But today is different from ALL of those other days.  AND would you like me to tell you why/how it is so different?  It really is simple...  TODAY is Monday, July 1, 2013.  I have never seen this day before and I will never see this day again.  


I know that sounds simple and you may be thinking "DUH!"  But please do not miss the profundity in the simplicity of what I have just said.  Far too often, we dismiss the miracle of living in the moment and celebrating the moment for what it is and for what it brings and when we do, we can, in turn, miss the gifts and the shifts of the Holy because we have these preconceived notions that the spectacular must be grand and explosive and surprising. But the spectacular can also be simple and quiet and expected.


BlogFam, Today is just that kind of day.

  • Embracing and sharing the Lord's great love
  • Being grateful that his compassions never fail
  • Celebrating the compassion, the mercy of the Lord that is NEW on this and every morning
  • Rejoicing because of the faithfulness of the Lord
  • Receiving the Lord's portion of whatever He gives to us
  • Waiting on the Lord
  • Hoping in the Lord
  • Seeking the Lord
  • Quieting ourselves in the presence of the Lord



BlogFam, Today is just that kind of day.
