GAIN Some WAIT!!! - Isaiah 40:31

Greetings!

For many years, I, like thousands of men and women across this nation, have struggled with my weight.  Up and down, thin and round, I have been there and done that!  It has been a struggle for me as long as I can remember - even back to the days of Middle School/Junior High, I have been "dieting."  But one thing I can say is this, the basic formula to losing body weight has NEVER changed - except for the modern day surgical quick fixes and even with those, you still have got to incorporate the basic formula after the fact in order to maintain the loss.  AND we all know what that basic formula is, say it with me: DIET & EXERCISE!!!  Now somebody just cringed...take a quick breath and keep reading...LOL!

This is NOT a post about my or anybody else's advice for losing weight or sticking to a diet or starting a new exercise program.  Today, I am not wanting you to focus on your physical weight as much as I am wanting you to focus on your SPIRITUAL WAIT.

Isaiah 40:31 says: "They that WAIT upon the Lord, shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."  I do not care how long you have been committed to your journey with God, we have ALL had to deal with our SPIRITUAL WAIT.  It is so true, that God's timing is just NOT our timing.  I do not care what kind of schedule you think you are on or how your ducks are all in a row, there is a period at some point along your journey that you will have to WAIT on God.  And the problem we too often face is that our WAIT is anorexic or should I say bulimic or should I say malnourished when it comes to our FAITH in the ONE who is ALWAYS worth waiting on.

My sisters and brothers, we need to GAIN SOME WAIT!  And we need to do it quickly!  We need a SPIRITUAL QUICK WAIT GAIN PLAN that helps us to see the benefits of doing so.  Benefits like having our strength renewed and not getting weary and not fainting are truly worth the wait especially since we can rest assured that God's benefits will never run out or lose their value.  When we WAIT on God, we are built up in ways that we never thought and we learn so much about ourselves in the waiting period.  I have waited on so much from God in my young life and even as I write, I am waiting on prayer requests that have yet to be answered, dreams yet to be realized, goals yet to be met, and an undying purpose yet to be fulfilled.

BlogFam, WAIT upon the Lord!  During this time of waiting, you are not to get lazy in the kingdom, you are to mount up and get prepared like an eagle getting ready to take flight.  You are to discipline yourself with the proper prayer exercises and bible reading and Christian fellowship necessary for a great run.  Lastly, when you feel like you cannot fly or run, at least just keep on walking.  Do NOT faint.  Focus on your SPIRITUAL WAIT GAIN and the Word promises those that wait upon the Lord, at the end of your wait,  you SHALL inherit the earth! [Psalm 37:9]

Be ENCOURAGED!
AND Keep On Waiting...

Praise God!!!! You are absolutely correct Woman of God! In life we feel that God should move when WE want Him to move, but that's so not His way!!! I've had SEVERAL situations in my life as a Woman of Faith, as a 1st Lady, as a Wife, and as a Mother that I simply needed to gain WAIT. During this WAIT gain, it was not easy, it was uncomfortable, and it was challenging. These are the times when God's work and plan can really be manifested in our lives!!! My greatest challenge during my WAIT gain was keeping a positive attitude!!! As you bless others through your blogs Eld. Kennebrew, I pray that you look back on them an be extraordinarily blessed by them as well!!!
