A Formula for LIFE: Hope + Patience + Prayer

Greetings!

BlogFam -
As we continue our series about HOPE, I came across this verse in Romans 12:12 that gives us the wisest "formula" we should use to face ANY situation in life -

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Now I do realize that this might not have always been our first response but after today, I believe that you will reconsider this formula for your current and future battles!

REJOICE IN HOPE
Do you remember one of the definitions that we discovered for the word HOPE?

God is HOPE... Romans 15:13

Greetings!

BlogFam,
God is HOPE.  This is a critical statement for the continuity of our series.  I know that you have learned and I pray that you have embraced that God is LOVE.  But have you ever considered that for the things that you are believing God for in your own life by faith, that God must also be your HOPE?  Think about it.

While you watch and pray, wait and pray, wonder if "IT" will really happen and pray, deep down your belief, your faith becomes the foundation of the HOPE that God will hear, respond, act, move on your behalf and "IT" will come to pass.

HOPE: An Introduction

Greetings!

BlogFam -
I have HOPE.  I was thinking and praying about this word HOPE a few days ago and I am grateful for the HOPE that I have.  I know that in spite of the things I go through and the people I encounter, I can continue to have peace of mind and joy in my spirit because of the HOPE I have in Jesus Christ.  In fact, I often quote the lyrics of an old hymn that you might know..."My HOPE is built on nothing less, than Jesus blood and righteousness.  I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name.

PRAY...for Others and not just for Yourself! PART 2

Greetings!

BlogFam -
I am so very grateful for the prayers of the righteous for they really do avail much!  How much?  Well, I cannot answer that question because I know that just speaking of the men and women in my own family, going back for generations, prayer has been a common spiritual discipline.  With that being said, I know that the great cloud of witnesses connected to my own ancestry were praying before my mom and dad came together and the legacy of prayer has been, and I do not doubt that it will continue to be passed on for generations after me.

The BIG Clean OUT!

Greetings!

BlogFam -
I am having a moment.  For the last week, and especially on today, I have been cleaning OUT.  And YES, I meant to say OUT.  There is a very distinct difference between cleaning UP and cleaning OUT and I have been cleaning OUT.  I have to admit that it took me a while to get to this point but I finally did it.  I cleaned OUT jewelry, shoes, purses, clothes, toiletries, make-up, and all sorts of randomness that I have been hoarding for way too long!  And though my hoarding was relatively organized, it was weighing me down in ways that I cannot begin to fully convey in this moment.
