Be it Fully Resolved... We will NOT Lose!

Greetings!

BlogFam,
This is my last post in a Blog Series for 2014.  I will more than likely post again, I just do not plan to begin a new series as I am trying to focus the last few weeks of 2014 on a writing project that needs my attention. [More Details Later :)]  THANK YOU for your patience and flexibility!

As I began this series, Disciples' Do's and Don'ts, I was not sure of how the Holy Spirit would lead us through Matthew 10.  But as I look back I must say that this brief journey has encouraged and challenged me as a follower of Jesus Christ.

Disowned and Divided...It's Your Choice!

Greetings!

BlogFam -
Take a look at our verses for today....  Now, let me warn you before you keep on reading the words of Jesus from the Gospel of Matthew, that it might not be easy for you to read and it might not be easy for you to ACCEPT this as a very real part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  The question to be answered is this:Are you FULLY committed to following Jesus?
Now read our verses for today...

Matthew 10:32-37
32 â€œWhoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.

DO NOT BE AFRAID!

Greetings!

BlogFam,
I will be very honest with you.  I was not sure if I should make this one possibly lengthy post or break it down into two different posts.  And as I write, I am still not sure so I will just flow, as usual, and we will see how the Spirit leads our conversation...

The first thing I want to say is that leaders of any group of people have influence.  The influence that leaders have over a group can determine if, how, and when the group reaches their goal or completes their assigned task.

Major Headlines!

Greetings!

BlogFam,
I am convinced that Jesus knew the headlines we would read about today.  I do not think that Jesus is in anyway surprised or shocked by the twisted dramas in the lives of people all over the world.  We might be taken aback by the hatred, betrayal, and negative motives of people in the news or at our jobs or in our homes or down the street; but none of this mess catches Jesus off guard.  Actually, he mentions a few of the scenarios in Matthew 10 as he forewarns the disciples of situations they might see as they carry the Gospel and possible reactions to it.

Keep Going!!!

Greetings!

As much as I love to bask in the glory and peace of being in relationship with Jesus Christ, I have been on my journey long enough to know that everyday has not made me "feel" the glory and I have definitely had days where peace seemed to escape me.  And reading today's verses raises mixed feelings inside of me.  I mean, who wants to read about Jesus sending his disciples out to face the realities of rejection and ignorance and disapproval by neighbors and strangers, alike.
